The short version. This website collects nothing about you. There are no analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising and no cookies. The enquiry form does not send anything to this site — it opens your own email app with the message written out, and you decide whether to send it.
If you do email me, I get what you tell me, and I use it to reply to you. That is the whole of it.
Who you are dealing with
ForgedWeb is a one-person web design business based on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia, run by Tye. There is no team, no reception and no third-party sales agency. When you contact ForgedWeb you are contacting one person directly.

What this website collects
Nothing. This site is a set of static files. It has no server-side code, no database, no user accounts and no forms that submit data anywhere.
Specifically, it does not run Google Analytics or any other analytics, does not use advertising or remarketing tags, does not use tracking pixels or fingerprinting, and does not set cookies. See the cookie notice for the detail.
How the enquiry form works
This matters, because most websites do the opposite. When you fill in the enquiry form and press send, nothing is transmitted to this website. The page assembles the details you typed into a draft email and hands it to your own email app. You can read it, change it or abandon it. It reaches me only if you press send in your own email program.
That also means nothing you type into that form is stored anywhere unless you choose to send it.
What I receive when you contact me
If you email or message on Instagram, I receive whatever you choose to give me. Usually that is your name, your business name, a phone number or email address, and a description of what you need.
I use that only to reply, to quote on the work, and to do the work if you go ahead. I do not use it for anything else.
Other companies involved
One, an unavoidable part of putting a website online:
- Cloudflare hosts and serves this site. Like any web host, its servers process your IP address and basic request information in order to deliver the page and to protect the site from attack and abuse.
It is not something I use to identify you, and I receive no reports or analytics from it. The typefaces on this site are served from this site itself, so your browser does not contact Google or any other font service to load them.
What I never do
- Sell, rent or trade your information. Ever, to anyone.
- Add you to a mailing list because you enquired.
- Build a profile of you or track you across other websites.
- Pass your details to a third party for marketing.
How long I keep things
Emails stay in my mailbox. I keep enquiry and project correspondence while it is relevant to the job and for a reasonable period afterwards, in case of questions about work I have done or records I am required to keep. If you want our correspondence deleted, ask and I will delete it, unless I am legally required to keep it.
Seeing or deleting what I hold
Email me at [email protected] and ask. I will tell you what I have about you, correct it if it is wrong, or delete it. There is no charge and no form to fill in.
Where the law sits on this
Under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), most Australian businesses with an annual turnover of $3 million or less are not bound by the Australian Privacy Principles. ForgedWeb is under that threshold, so the Act does not currently oblige it to have a privacy policy.
This policy exists anyway, because you should be able to find out what happens to your details before you hand them over.
Children
This site sells web design to businesses. It is not directed at children and I do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. There is no archive of previous versions — this is a small business, not a bank.
A complaint
Email me first and I will try to sort it out directly. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
